Presence
In the shrines of the night
A journey awaits—a moment’s fate.
Time doesn’t feel rushed,
Nor does it beg to move faster.
From when you sat in the car,
To the moment your head found rest,
Everything was still.
Still like peace—
But wholly present.
No need to rush.
No need to overthink.
I only wanted to live it—
To understand what enjoyment truly meant.
We sat there,
You in your own thoughts,
Chasing your own view of the world.
And I?
I captured you—
Living your you.
Your annoyance is nothing like a bad habit
Or an annoying sibling
Your ability to be you and embrace your pride,
In the little that I do learn day by day
Reminds me of the “why”
It tells me we are uniquely the same but different
We all are all here but some may feel insignificant
Not the intrusive thoughts or the worries to bear
But the creativity in embracing who we are,
Regardless of who cares
